Tasty new mix by the main man Aaron Dae, no tracklisting but I think you’ll recognise a few and hopefully will hear some new heat. Here’s Aaron’s description.

“Jus’ a lil’ DJ set I did here in NYC before I moved back. Plenty of Re-Edits and a couple OG joints in there too…
Thanks to all who have so graciously provided me with a wealth of lovely edits! It’s very much appreciated.
Hope you enjoi & feedback is welcomed.”

OUT SOON! WOOP BLACKLODGE Feat. GUESTS OF NATURE

Something a little different for Lazy Days. Following earlier label Disco Boogie releases such as Tortured Soul’s ‘You Found A Way’ (LZD-003) and Lovebirds’ ‘N2Deep’ (LZD-015), Fred Everything’s imprint is proud to introduce you to Blacklodge, featuring Guests Of Nature, with the amazing ‘Lay It On The Line’.

Blacklodge is up and coming producer Rob Fahey’s nom de plume. Hailing from Brighton, he has enjoyed quite a success and attracted interest with his re-edits on Soundcloud. This is where Lazy Days found him through good friend Aaron Dae, who was sure the San Francisco label was the best home for this unique track.

Vocalist and lyricist Eugene McDonald, aka Guests Of Nature, has laid down (pun intended!) in Fred Everything’s words “one of the nicest vocal tracks we have had the pleasure of hearing in a while.” Also from Brighton, Eugene has had many collaborations in the past, including on the hip Jamie Jones remix of Deniz Kurtel which appeared on Crosstown Rebels.

There was no doubt that label boss Fred Everything wanted to get his hands on the remix, taking a similar approach to his recent Juno-chart-topping disco remixes of Hot Toddy’s ‘Down To Love’ for Om’s sub-label Smoke & Mirrors. Fred ups the tempo a little, but instead of going the 4/4 route he uses a laid back, almost freestyle beat over a crisp production. This is House-not-house at its best!

Also included is the bonus track from Blacklodge called ‘Broken Promises’ which shapes up as another late night monster.

The Bedmo Disco Dubs is a project I’ve been working on for some time, cutting up 80s electrofunk/boogie in the style of the original scalpel-jockeys of the time.
